A Scavenger Hunt...of Sorts...

Kiaralinda and Todd have a request: Look for items that might benefit the center. But, as Kiaralinda said, "It could just be exploratory right now as storing the materials would be an issue." She and Todd, along with architect Grant Genova, are in the beginning stages with the city's planning and zoning to learn what they can and can't do. "Planning will take some time," she said, "and for now we are seeing any hands on work happening in the fall, but this could change."

So, here's a list of things to watch for. Maybe your neighbor has a mound of unwanted river rocks in his front yard. Maybe you like to search Craigslist.com for deals...Maybe you know someone with a building supply company who might offer essential materials at a reasonable price. How about an empty storage unit? However you might be able to help, here are things we would appreciate if you happen to find a few extra:

River rock: for water retention ponds
Concrete: they will require a lot!
2" thick wood: for roof decking (reclaimed)
2 x 8s & 2 x 10s: finished or rough cut
metal roofing
landscape material

Thanks, everyone! Please contact Kiaralinda or Todd if you can help.
