Forming Alliances
We're all voting. We do it through Facebook, through registering on Pepsi's site, and by texting. There is still a chance for SHAMc to get the grant if we all make voting a daily priority. We do have a way to attract more votes, but it's going to take your help.
We need to focus our alliance energy on a few ideas, and deliver a large voting block to them every day.
Each of us has 4 votes per day left over after voting for SHAMC.
So we need to select 4 "ideas" and deliver a large VISIBLE voting block to them.
*** Here are the 4 ideas:
1) http://www.refresheverything.com/imagingout - Providing educational resources to 700,00 foster youth in the USA. Currently ranked #13 in the 25K category
2) http://www.refresheverything.com/stopforeclosuresnow - Organize the community to stop housing foreclosures and build wealth. Current rank #16 in the 25K category
3) http://www.refresheverything.com/autistic-kids-playground - Build a Playground for Children with Autism. Current rank #18 in the 10K category
4) http://www.refresheverything.com/horseshelpinghumans - Finance a horse mounted search and recovery team in southern Nevada. Current rank #17 in the 10K category
Important:
We MUST form these alliances and vote for them every day AND comment on their walls in order for them to know we are voting for them. Please use your extra votes to do this. SHAMc will not be negatively affected since we are in a different category altogether. And most important of all: Voting for SHAMc is more important than anything. If you are only able to do that, we appreciate you! But, not everyone will be able to help us with alliances, and that is OK. For those of you willing and able to devote the time, we cannot express our gratitude enough.
==================
How to vote for our alliances:
After using all of your Safety Harbor Art and Music Center votes, sign out. Copy and paste one of the 4 urls (www addresses for Pepsi voting) posted above (To help you find them, look for three asterisks (***) before a paragraph above). Vote for them through Facebook, texting, or through your Pepsi account. (If you are confused on how to vote, look at our video on voting for SHAMc, but vote for the chosen alliance.)
After placing your vote, scroll down to their comments section. The important part of this is that you let them know you voted and you ask them to vote for us (See the example below). Give them this link to direct them right to our Pepsi page: http://www.refresheverything.com/safetyharborartandmusiccenter
Here's an example of what to say: Awesome idea! Our entire team is voting for you! We would very much appreciate your return vote at http://www.refresheverything.com/safetyharborartandmusiccenter
==================
The more "original" the comment, the more real it seems, so cut/paste probably is not a good idea, but if you can't think of some other way to word it, please do copy this!
Questions? Please ask! Post your questions in the comments and we will respond.

How to cast your 3 daily votes for the Pepsi Refresh Grant
We are now in the process of trying to win a $50,000 grant from the Pepsi Refresh Project. Thank you to everyone who has helped us this far along, and thank you to everyone willing to participate through this process of trying to win a grant! Here is an easy guide on how you can cast three votes every day through the end of May. Please vote as often as possible, every day. We will post updates on the progress here and on Facebook.
Your belief in this project is going to be what gets the grant and makes SHAMc happen. We can't do it without your help. Now...go vote! Here's how!
Facebook: ‘LIKE’ our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/SafetyHarborArtAndMusicCenter. You’ll notice that to make it easy for you, Safety Harbor Art and Music Center will post a link to vote every day in May. After you click through the Facebook link to the Pepsi site, click ‘vote for this idea.’ If you have not allowed the Facebook application, you will now be asked for permission. If you decline you won’t get to vote. So, accept the terms. You’ll only need to do this once.
Use your mobile phone to text: Just like when you text someone using your cell phone, you can also text Pepsi (Their number does not look like a typical phone number). Text your vote to 73774 with this code in the message: 106350
E-mail: Go to www.refresheverything.com and sign up for an account. Once you receive an e-mail confirmation, click through the e-mail where it says “Confirm your Account.” You will be directed to the Pepsi site and it will say “Your account is now ready for the new Pepsi Refresh! Now just Sign in and start exploring.”
After you sign in, it’s easy to find us. In the search box type “Safety Harbor.” Our heading is “Build the dynamic community based Safety Harbor Art and Music Center.” Click ‘Vote for this idea.”
Note: Please use your codes! You can get up to 100 extra votes with a unique “Power Vote” code found under the YELLOW cap of specially marked Pepsi bottles and specially marked Pepsi 12 pack and 24 pack can packaging.
For more information and to follow SHAMc’s progress, visit: www.facebook.com/SafetyHarborArtAndMusicCenter www.SafetyHarborArtAndMusicCenter.blogspot.com

Who ARE these people?
Does your house have a name? Well, Kiaralinda and Todd's does. It's called Whimzey, and as you can see in the pictures, the name is perfect.
These two Whimzey Twins travel throughout the country selling their creations. Their art is sculpture, it's color, it's shape and form, it's texture and emotion. Think of what art means to you and you'll find it in their unique, original pieces. And hey, not only are their homes and creations downright cool, they are too!
Were you in town that one Christmas when Whimzey and every spot in the yard was covered in silver? If not, you might have heard or read about it. Thousands of people came to see the beautiful display, which Kiaralinda and Todd began in order to raise funds for charity.
"All of the Christmas house decorating was a community "labor of love" since we always had a lot of volunteers or "elves" help us create these fundraising installations.
"The first one was called "Silver Lining" and we wrapped everything on our property in tinfoil and the house was wrapped in silver mylar. This [in the picture] is the singer, Melanie who lived in Safety Harbor at the time and came and posed with her "aluminum foil ornament" that she made, as everyone was encouraged to park and walk up and participate and give a donation. This year was for Toys for Tots.
"The other picture is of the millennium holiday house called "Shine On," since it was the last one we thought we would ever do. This one was wrapped in hologram Mylar and space-age type robots, Santa and his spaceship, and CDs hung everywhere. This year the participants got a slip of Mylar to write their millennium thoughts, dreams, or wish on, and then we hung them all over the lawn." ~Kiaralinda
Kiaralinda and Todd are known for such displays of beauty that we all wish we could somehow eat up and swallow...Okay, maybe that's just me. But I admit...
I want this much color in my life too!
It's possible. We can do this! 2011 is the year of the Art and Music Center!
